NHS Education for Scotland support for building communities

The aim of this toolkit (Stage 1 - Stage 5) is to provide basic information on establishing and maintaining an effective community of practice. It can be used at an early stage to help to set up a community or by an established community to encourage debate around areas of development, roles and responsibilities and new technology tools such as tagging.

Every community is different and will have its own specific needs according to its defined purpose and membership. This toolkit is not intended to offer a blueprint but to provide a range of options and pointers to foster community development. There are a series of stages reflecting the lifespan of a community.
